(Dr Jack) Whittaker Home

The Whittaker home was opened in Bowling Green in December 2000 as a home for 3 people. This home is owned by Wood Lane Residential Properties and is licensed by Ohio Department of DD. They currently hold a 2-year license. The house was named after Dr Jack Whittaker for his long time support of Wood Lane Residential Services by providing dental care to our residents for many years. His encouragement and assistance have been greatly appreciated.

You will never wonder what holiday is near at the Whittaker home. One of the residents loves to decorate. His favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas. Haunted houses, Dracula and goblins are favorites. Decorations cover the inside and outside of the house. If you like the spooky side of Halloween, this home is a great place to visit. Likewise, Christmas is another big holiday. A great village, snowmen, reindeer and all the sights and sounds of Christmas are included. If you are lucky, you may even get to meet Santa while visiting. No holiday is forgotten, each have some kind of token decoration and celebration!

The Whittaker home also has a dog named Ben that they got from the Assistance Dogs of America. Ben is as much a part of the home as the 3 people who live there. He is a companion dog who truly is “man’s best friend”. They take care of him and he in turn provides them with companionship and lessons in responsibility. It is a great relationship.

The next year should be filled with celebrations of all of the upcoming holidays and the addition of a new roommate.
