(Walter and Helen)
Hadley Home

The Hadley Home is located in Bowling Green. The Wood County Board of DD owns it, but Wood Lane Residential Services, Inc provides the services to the individuals living in the home. This home was opened 8/29/89 and was home to 8 men for many years. In 2008, the 8 men moved to a new home and the Hadley home became the home for 4 men with IO waivers. The home was dedicated to Walter and Helen Hadley on 9/24/89 after they generously donated the home to Wood County Board of DD.

The individuals living at the Hadley Home love to walk downtown and are frequent visitors to local businesses in Bowling Green. The men believe it is important to support and give back to the community. They live by the motto: “Why have others do for me what I can do for myself.” As a community service project, they save pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

The men who live here are benefiting from the talented chef in their midst. They grew a plentiful garden this summer so they can use the freshest vegetables in their dishes. Hosting holiday parties and offering cooking lesions give the chef the opportunity to share his creations!

Bon Apetit!
